Gather Synthetic is operated by Gather HQ, Inc. ("Gather", "we", "our"). Our platform at synthetic.gatherhq.com provides AI-powered synthetic research studies. Questions: support@gatherhq.com.

Account information: email address and password when you create an account. Research inputs: topics, research questions, and context documents you submit. Usage data: study types run, reports accessed, API calls made. OAuth tokens: if you connect via MCP/Claude, we store the access token and associated account ID. We do not collect: real human survey responses (all research uses AI-generated synthetic personas). We do not sell your data.

To run synthetic research studies on your behalf. To store and display your research reports. To authenticate you when you connect via MCP or the web app. To send transactional emails (report completion, alerts) if you opt in. To improve our research models and platform. We do not use your data to train AI models without explicit consent.

When you connect Gather Synthetic to Claude via the MCP Connectors Directory: — We receive your Gather account credentials via OAuth 2.0. — We store a 30-day access token to authenticate MCP calls on your behalf. — Research run through Claude is attributed to your account and subject to standard pricing. — Anthropic does not share conversation context with us. We only receive the explicit tool call parameters. — You can revoke access at any time by deleting your OAuth token in account settings.

All research conducted on this platform uses AI-generated synthetic respondents, not real human participants. Reports are independent studies conducted by Gather and are not affiliated with, sponsored by, commissioned by, or endorsed by any brands or companies mentioned. Brand names appear only as the subject of analysis.

Research reports: retained indefinitely unless you delete them. OAuth tokens: expire after 30 days or when revoked. Account data: retained until account deletion is requested. To delete your account or data: email support@gatherhq.com.

All data is transmitted over HTTPS/TLS. OAuth tokens are stored hashed. We use Supabase with row-level security. We do not log raw research prompts beyond what is necessary to run the study.

Supabase: database and authentication. Anthropic API: powers the AI research engine. Resend: transactional email. Vercel: hosting and deployment. Clerk: web app authentication (separate from MCP OAuth). Each service has its own privacy policy.

You may request access, correction, or deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing support@gatherhq.com. We respond within 30 days.

We will post updates to this page with a revised date. Material changes will be communicated via email to registered users.
