Digital experience analytics · PUBLIC RESEARCH BRIEF
FullstoryWhich replay moment deserves investigation, and which is just noise?
Fullstory describes product analytics connected to session replay, automatic capture, AI-generated session summaries and configurable privacy controls. Replay can add context to an aggregate metric, but a vivid individual session can also dominate judgment even when it is unusual or affected by instrumentation.

Three questions for the GTM team.
When an AI session summary omits a detour, failed interaction or privacy-sensitive detail, what evidence should a reviewer inspect before sharing the explanation?

Who should weigh in?
North American product managers, digital experience teams, UX researchers, engineers, support leaders, analytics teams, security and privacy reviewers evaluating Fullstory. Include people who investigate funnels, defects and user friction. Proposed audience only; no Fullstory replay, event stream, user identity or customer environment is included.
TWO TIME HORIZONS
Trial today. A habit tomorrow?
Near term · 0–90 days
Over 0–90 days, ask cross-functional reviewers to triage fictional sessions paired with funnel metrics, errors, masking states and known capture defects. Compare prioritization, false escalation, privacy handling, reviewer agreement and requests for supporting evidence.
Longer term · 3–12 months
Over 3–12 months, track approved triage rules across releases, platforms and changing capture settings. Study survivorship bias, alert fatigue, masking drift and whether replay-led fixes improve the intended real-world outcome.
What would make the result actionable?
Use synthetic sessions with known causes, seeded instrumentation faults, versioned privacy rules, blinded reviewers and explicit ground truth. Any claim about prevalence or business impact requires aggregate production evidence and ethically collected user research.
A Gather simulation returns hypothetical customer reactions. Quantifying revenue, traffic or retention needs actual business inputs and validation against observed behavior.
