Streaming subscription & bundle discovery · PUBLIC RESEARCH BRIEF

Disney+Which Disney+ plan comparison makes the right viewing option easiest to choose?

Disney+'s current service and help pages describe standalone and bundle choices, ad experiences, downloads and device access whose exact availability varies by plan and region. This brief studies plan comprehension and content-access expectations. It does not estimate viewing, conversion or retention.

CHANGE ONE THING. LEARN WHAT MATTERS.

Three questions for the GTM team.

01

When comparing Disney+ choices, would a needs-first plan selector or a side-by-side feature grid better help adults identify an appropriate option? Use fixed fictional household and device needs.

02

When a title may be available through Disney+, Hulu or ESPN services, would service labels on each title card or a source filter better prevent incorrect access assumptions? Use a synthetic catalog.

03

Before changing or renewing a Disney+ plan, would a current-access summary or a before-and-after comparison make the consequences easier to understand? Use a synthetic account and do not alter billing.

PROPOSED AUDIENCE

Who should weigh in?

North American adults considering, currently using or recently leaving Disney+, with varied household structures, devices and familiarity with streaming bundles. Recruit adults only and use fictional profiles and catalogs; do not involve minors or real viewing histories. Proposed audience; no subscription or engagement outcome is implied.

TWO TIME HORIZONS

Trial today. A habit tomorrow?

Near term · 0–90 days

Over 0–90 days, test plan comparison, cross-service title discovery and plan-change explanations with fictional profiles, catalogs and accounts. Measure plan comprehension, mistaken access assumptions, navigation success and renewal-condition recall. Do not start subscriptions or change billing.

Longer term · 3–12 months

Over 3–12 months, follow consented adult cohorts as household needs, devices, catalogs and bundle options change. Examine plan-fit understanding, service-source recall, expectation drift and recovery after an access surprise. Viewing, conversion or retention claims require observed behavior and controls.

What would make the result actionable?

Use versioned official plan descriptions, synthetic households, a fixed catalog and known-correct access outcomes. Randomize interface treatment while holding title and plan rules constant; include unavailable, ad-supported and download-restricted cases; recruit adults only; require privacy, accessibility and consumer-terms review.

A Gather simulation returns hypothetical customer reactions. Quantifying revenue, traffic or retention needs actual business inputs and validation against observed behavior.
