Restaurant rewards & digital ordering · PUBLIC RESEARCH BRIEF
SweetgreenWhich Sweetgreen rewards view makes the next order easier to plan without obscuring eligibility or expiration?
Sweetgreen's current public pages describe SG Rewards in its app and ordering site, changing reward choices, and digital ordering for pickup or delivery at participating locations. This brief studies reward and order-flow comprehension using fictional accounts and orders. It does not claim value, availability or purchase lift.

Three questions for the GTM team.
While customizing a Sweetgreen order, would inline ingredient and substitution context or a review-before-add step better help customers catch an unintended change without making dietary or health claims?
Set up this study →Before checkout, would a channel-specific summary or a location-and-timing preview better help a customer distinguish pickup, native delivery and in-store reward use?

Who should weigh in?
North American Sweetgreen customers and prospects, including rewards members and non-members, frequent and occasional diners, pickup and delivery users, and people with dietary or accessibility needs. Use fictional accounts, orders and locations only. Proposed audience; no spend, loyalty or health outcome is implied.
TWO TIME HORIZONS
Trial today. A habit tomorrow?
Near term · 0–90 days
Over 0–90 days, test reward status, customization review and fulfillment-choice prototypes with fictional accounts, menu snapshots and orders. Measure eligibility comprehension, unintended selections caught, expiration recall and channel-choice accuracy. Do not place orders or make nutrition, allergy or savings claims.
Longer term · 3–12 months
Over 3–12 months, follow consenting diners as menu, reward inventory, locations and order occasions change. Examine reward comprehension, customization confidence, channel switching, correction behavior and notification fatigue. Spend, frequency or loyalty claims require observed transactions and controls.
What would make the result actionable?
Use versioned Sweetgreen rewards and location pages, dated menu snapshots, fictional accounts with seeded reward histories and a known-correct eligibility matrix. Include expired, unavailable, location-limited, substituted and fee-bearing cases; keep basket and location constant across variants; place no orders; require accessibility, privacy, legal and food-information review.
A Gather simulation returns hypothetical customer reactions. Quantifying revenue, traffic or retention needs actual business inputs and validation against observed behavior.
